Speaking of Stupid

This, from Jeralyn Merritt at Talk Left, is worthy of some sort of hall of fame. And basing her screed on comments by Politico?

. . . assuming she actually read Obama's remarks, which is doubtful. And reading through the comments, you get the feeling that no one read Obama's remarks. I mean, get this: here's Obama, speaking in favor of Jim Webb's 21st Century GI Bill and attacking McCain for opposing it, and the commenters at this post have their knickers all twisted because a) Jeralyn's not too bright and/or b) she's a Hillary hack (and please don't think that I consider the two mutually exclusive), and c) Obama somehow is criticizing Democreats, which is an idea put in their heads by the aforementioned not-too-bright possible Hillary hack, and is also an idea that some of them have managed to morph into Obama criticizing the troops because he's an elitist snob who doesn't understand Real Americans.

That's almost as good as Leonard Stimson having heard that Obama's a Muslim. And starting here, the comments get positively surreal.
