A New Award?

Once upon a time, Hunter at Random periodically awarded the Through the Looking Glass award to those who tried very hard to create their own reality at right-angles to the rest of us. I may revive it.

I'm also considering instituting the Remedial Civics Award, for those whose public statements reveal a fundamental ignorance about how the governance of this country works. My only problem has been that there are so many candidates. For starters, check out some of the comments at this post by GayPatriotWest. For that matter, check out GPW's opening sentence. (Hint: Anyone who wants to put civil rights questions to a popular vote automatically wins.)

A strong contender, I'd say. (I did leave a comment rebutting some of that -- #32, as I recall.)
