"Don't Get Sick, And If You Do. . ."

Von has published a a classic example of right-wing "argument" over at Obsidian Wings in his defense of the Republican "health care reform plan."

If this is supposed to be a spoof, though, it falls flat. It seems that his take is the Republican plan is fine for what it is, but so is anything. The question is, "does it address real problems?" I don't get the sense that it does, or that he cares.

Happily, I don't have to skewer the plan here -- the commenters have done an excellent job of that.

Update: As an antidote, here's Barbara O'Brien's take on the Republican "plan" -- and the massive (!) demonstrations against the Democratic plan.
